The Community Pavilion at Evergreen

About

Come and enjoy the majestic beauty of the traditionally timber framed Pavilion, nestled in the heart of the Cobble Hill Village next to the original historic Cobble Hill School.

Designed by a local timber framer, milled in Shawnigan Lake from Vancouver Island, sustainably forested trees and constructed by a local timber framing company.

The Community Pavilion was designed as a multi-use, accessible space, perfect for all types of private and community events.  You may rent the pavilion to insure that the space will be reserved just for you.  Rental fees include the use of washroom facilities (kitchen facilities also available during July and August for an additional fee).  To view a complete list of rental options and to book online please click here.

The Story
The Story

The Community Pavilion at Evergreen Independent School was a project years in the making, from the initial foundation pour in 2012, to the final installation of fencing and solar panels in 2019.

Originally envisaged as a school gathering space and sports court during inclement weather, the idea grew to include enjoyment by the greater Cobble Hill community as a whole.

After a successful grant application process through the federal Gas-Tax Fund, CVRD became a major financial contributor to the project and holds a joint-use agreement for the use of space during the non-school hours.

For their generous contributions to the project, Evergreen would like to acknowledge:
