Parent Involvement  

Parents actively contribute to the life of the school and enrich and enhance school programs. They join with teachers in maintaining communication within the school community. Active parent participation is vital in order for Evergreen to maintain its low fee structure. As such, along with paying the required fees, each family is required to fulfill the following compulsory obligations in order to maintain their membership status in the Evergreen Independent School Society:

  1. Each family must be represented at General Meetings.
  2. A minimum of one adult family member from each family must participate on a committee. (There are a total of 11 committees to choose from). A family member may participate on more than one committee. Additional committee participation is encouraged from other adult family members.
  3. Each family must have role in Children and Apple Pie (Evergreen’s annual major fundraising event).

There are also a multitude of other parent helper jobs, which require parental participation.
